The Maze Runner

I'm reading a book called Maze Runner, and for a book written by a Mormon author, it is pretty gory, and has some pretty close language.  For instance when Alby says, “what the Shuck is wrong with you?" or "you shank," or "you Klunk- head."  I don't like the book, but I have to wait for the second book of The Beyonders to come out.

The book starts out where there's this boy in an elevator that is moving.  He doesn't remember how he got there, and he doesn't know where he is.  He gets scared and panicky, and he can't see a thing.  He starts trying to remember where he is and how he got there.  The only thing he seems to be able to remember is his name.  His name is Thomas.  He remembers things that he did, eating a hamburger or hotdog, watching a movie, but he can’t incorporate places or people in them, so they’re void and empty. It’s frustrating.  He doesn’t even know how old he is, or where this elevator is taking him.  All he knows is that he’s been in this elevator for a really long time, and he wants out.  After what seems ages of being in the elevator shaft, he sees a sliver of light, and feels the elevator come to very abrupt stop.  It’s so bright that he can’t see what and who is there.  All he can see are blurs.  He starts to pass out, and the voices around him get muddy and indistinctive.  They pull him out of the elevator and he’s standing in front of this big group of boys of various ages from 12 to 17.  There’s this Asian guy who’s looking at him from head to toe, examining him.  His name’s Alby.

We’ll stop here,

DINGBAT OUT!!!!!
